Opening Ceremonies – Friday, Event One, 5-6pm
Meet your Guests of Honor and others and hear stirring speeches.
Art Show Reception – Friday, Art Show, 6:30-8:30pm Meet some of our artists while having wine, cheese and snacks in the Art Show.
The Science Fiction Dance and Drink Double Feature, presented by Area 51 – Friday, 8pm-12am, Event Two.
Charity Auction – Saturday, Event Two, 2-4pm
Bid on cool stuff and support our charity, Youth Empowerment Project.
Rebel and Phoenix Awards – Saturday, Event Two, 4pm
A Deep South Con tradition, the Rebel is given to a fan who has made great contributions to southern fandom. The Phoenix is awarded to a professional in the genre who has promoted southern fandom and or conventions. CONtraflow's Fleur de Fan award, for contributions toward CONtraflow and New Orleans fandom, will also be presented.
Costume Contest – Saturday, Event One, 6-7pm (run through and pre-judging 5-6pm)
Show off your latest costume creations for fun and (if you win) prizes!
Rydell High School Prom, Presented by The Patrol – Saturday, Event Two, 9pm-1am
Come dance the night away with The People Your Mother Warned You About.
Southern Fandom Confederation Annual Meeting – Sunday, Panel Room 1, 1pm
Art Auction – Sunday, Event Two, 2-4pm
Details on how to bid, as well as the art itself, of course, can be found in our Art Show on Friday and Saturday.
Deep South Con Site Selection Voting – Sunday, Panel Room 1, 2pm
This will be to select the site for Deep South Con 65, to be held in 2027.
Charles Brown Memorial Hawaiian Shirt Contest – Sunday, Event One, 3-4pm
The late editor of Locus Magazine, Charles N. Brown, was known for his penchant for Hawaiian shirts. Show off your wildest Hawaiian style shirt. All species welcome!
Closing Ceremonies – Sunday, Event One, 5pm
Awards and results will be announced. Moving speeches will be made.
