Robert is a long-time fannish leader in the Greater New Orleans area, whose experience attending science fiction conventions extends back to the mid-1970’s, when he first attended Vulcon in New Orleans.
Although best known as the Captain of the Porno Patrol and the Chairman of Crescent City Con throughout its 20-year lifespan of 1985 through 2005, he has worn many hats – literally and figuratively – in local fandom over the years.
Robert was one of the founders of the Companions of Doctor Who, served as Chairman of Deep South Con 37, and has served in many capacities including General Operations Director for CoastCon. He was also on the Board of Directors and Director of Operations for the New Orleans Science Fiction and Fantasy Festival and on staff in 1988 for Nolacon II, the second World Science Fiction Convention held in New Orleans. Currently Robert is a member of Area 504 and the Amalgamation of Non-Aligned Lifeforms Starfleet.
